Tea at 5 in the Sibillini Mountains – ASviS 2022 Festival

Tea at 5 n the Sibillini Mountains - ASviS 2022 Festival

Tea at 5 in the Sibillini Mountains – ASviS 2022 Festival, workshop on sustainable tourism

Our Tea finally moves in person in Bolognola, a small hamlet in the province of Macerata. As you know, or maybe you will find it out now, we have several activities in progress in this Municipality. This workshop, which has been included in the ASviS 2022 Festival, coordinates with the activities of one other project of ours: Alta Formazione 1070. #AF1070 connects its training to the sustainable development of mountain areas and communities.

Indeed, we are very keen on the development of truly sustainable and, if possible, inclusive tourism, especially for mountain areas. So, here we are!

Bolognola has a very particular history. We met at the time of the earthquake in Central Italy (2016). Since then, this small town has had to – and has been able to – face enormous problems related to reconstruction, snow emergencies and, lastly, Covid. Yet, even if very small (180 inhabitants), they are still stronger than ever, with ever more ambitious projects.

The project that gathers them all is linked to the construction of the identity “1070”. This number is the height of Bolognola above sea level.

The workshop in short

In this workshop we will explore the issues related to the development of complex projects. We will also work together on a given (and challenging) task

How can we work on the identity of a territory? How to evaluate the impact of tourism on a territory? How to manage a complex project that involves the participation of several organizations and stakeholders? Can widespread hospitality act as a driver for territorial development?

Where: Bolognola (MC) – Filippo Marchetti Conference Room

When: 14th October from 2.30pm to 6.00pm

Tourism and sustainability at “Tea at 5”

We had already dealt with the subject during the 2020 ASviS Festival. In this new edition of our Tea at  5 we will talk, once again,  about tourism and sustainability and we will do it above all with  local administrators and experts of  the sectors

We will range from widespread hospitality to the “cross and delight” of the relaunch of the territories after Covid.

What can public administrators do? Are there tourist possibilities for the smaller and lesser known municipalities of the Italian province? Is the PNRR useful, or not at all? Is it difficult to be managed by those who have few human resources in their staff?

How important can widespread hospitality and Paese Albergo (a specific kind of widespread hospitality)  be for the smallest municipalities?

We will answer all these questions starting from May 24 for 6 episodes. We will always be online on our YouTube channel (subscribe to receive notifications) and on our FB page (follow us)

In the meantime, come and visit us at 5.30 pm on our YouTube channel and on our FB page

PS Small anticipation … We are planning a “Tea at 5”  in person!

Sustainability and awareness

The increased awareness of sustainability issues is a fact of 2021. There is still a lot to do – just look at how Cop26 ended – but at least the three pillars have become well known. In fact, it should be remembered, that sustainability is not only environmental but also social and economic.

In 2021 we have developed several activities; we have worked on all three aspects and the numbers we have reached comfort us a lot.

sustainability and awareness

And now some numbers on our latest activities

The results of the latest online and face-to-face activities that we have included in the Sustainable Development Festival make us understand that, although there is still a lot to do, the road is long but is the right one. People reached online on the various channels: 20,493

Interactions: 1225

Tea at five – ethics and arithmetic

In March, “Tea at five” starts again with a specific subtitle: ethics and arithmetic. The edition is completely renewed and marks a change of pace compared to the previous series. We will focus again on recycling as a value for sustainability, a cornerstone of Progetto  Re-Cycle

Tea at five - ethics and arithmetic

With the unexpected outbreak of the pandemic, we concentrated our efforts on the impact of the crisis on production activities and on aspects of sustainable reorganization. The latter representing the necessary counterbalance to the pandemic itself.

Nothing will go back to the way it was before, and we have to take for certain the need for a change. Recent events have violently demonstrated that the relationship between man and nature is unbalanced. We need to rethink this relationship from a more sustainable and respectful perspective. Starting from the economy and production processes, from the use of the territory, from human relations: sustainability is not only the environment but also society and economy.

We do not deny the past. We will keep the good by revaluing it and laying the foundations for a different tomorrow, supported by new ideas and constructive impulses.

The red thread of ethics and arithmetic

Ethics and arithmetic will be the red thread binding the new episodes of “Tea at five”

In the restart, we firmly believe that ethics in economics will necessarily have to coexist with the arithmetic of profit. Therefore our  guests  – coming from various sectors – will give voice, with their experiences, to our strong conviction. We will talk about tourism, one of the sectors most affected by the pandemic, about sustainable and accessible tourism. The theme is not new to our program. In the new Tea we will deal with topics such as the Village hotel and the widespread hotel (two hospitality models) and our #accessiblelife #disentieroinsentiero digital map of accessible places

From the business world we will bring the virtuous examples of BCorp and Benefit Companies. We will have the support of Uomo & Ambiente, a Benefit company.

The first episode will be on line on March 12 at 5.00 pm, you can  follow it on our FB, LI and YouTube page. In that occasion we will introduce a new project in line with the nature of Progetto Re-Cycle. Courses for sustainability

After our on line streaming  event “Tea at Five”  we are going to begin our “courses for sustainability”  to go deeper in this broad – too much broad indeed – subject.

Starting from November 17, every Tuesday and Thursday at 18.00, we will deal with sustainability in  a series of online courses focused on the goals discussed during the live streaming.

We will therefore focus on goal 12 – sustainable production – goal 8 – digital transformation, territory and sustainable tourism – It is really important for us to continue on the path taken, to deepen our knowledge and to provide everybody with the tools to act on sustainability.

Our courses are aimed primarily at businesses, professionals and students. University professors and professionals will held the lessons via Google meet and they recommend an interactive participation.

Our courses for sustainability

The art of product designing – goal 12

Product innovation -goal 12

Digital story telling for a territory – goal 8

Selling: the transition of customers’ needs towards sustainability – goal 12

Fashion and sustainability – goal 8 and 12

Tomorrow’s tourism and sustainable tourism

From October 2020 tomorrow’s tourism and sustainable tourism are becoming an increasingly important topic for Progetto Re-Cycle. We have been working for some time on digital transformation projects for the territories. Our #disentieroinsentiero project, on accessible places, is gaining more and more visibility while unexpected new implications are emerging.

Tomorow sustainable tourism

Respire – France

And now what’s new? Something really cool: we have joined an association that  is focused on tourism and above all tourism of tomorrow, after what we are learning from pandemic.

This association gives its activities an international “breath”. Its name is Respire, le Tourisme de Demain.  It is based in France but is developing fast in other parts of the world, especially the USA and Japan.

We firmly believe in the interaction and integration of different areas. That is the reason why in Progetto Re-Cycle you will find different and sometimes contrasting aspects. Culture of the territory, sustainable tourism and environment, sustainability and the culture of work, all linked together.

We will continue with our activities. New projects will be added, and we will be supported by ScriptaXmanent as well. Here are some ideas:

digital projects and our accessibility and digital transformation project

revaluation of neglected areas, especially mountain villages

revaluation – cultural as well- of urban areas

Creation of working groups

A few lines above we were talking about integrating subjects. Now try to imagine all this from the perspective of tourism of tomorrow. A kind of tourism more inclusive and more respectful of the environment.

Tomorrow sustainable tourism

We are also planning to bring Progetto Re-Cycle knowledge and skills to France and other countries… Can you see the amount of work?

Why don’t you join us?

Who’s going to join us?  With a little help we will be faster… so…welcome on board!

Do you need more info? Write to info@progettorecycle.org

Do you want to join us as a member? Here is the form

And now… Bon Voyage! Have a safe journey and get ready for some news!

You can find some details about Respire in our video series Tea at Five with Fabio Casilli and in the episode of “Tea at 5 … at 18” on tomorrow’s tourism and sustainable tourism.

Tea at five o’clock -second edition

Tea at five o’clock – informal conversations on FB, YouTube with entrepreneurs, consultants and people from Non Profit Organizations.- reaches its second edition.

With the first 10 meetings in live streaming, we have achieved our goal of listening and relating People from different backgrounds: from entrepreneurs to Non Profit operators, from consultants to administrators of public bodies. Now we had musicians, tour operators and merchants. As Progetto Re-Cycle we firmly believe that a positive change can be generated by the interaction between two worlds.  The world represented by culture and non-profit with the world of companies and profit. The recent lockdown can be an opportunity to become a better country. We do not need useless disputes  and we need to share ideas, we can start from ideas to work on a better future.

The message about our consumption and business models, about our lifestyles, should have reached us loud and clear. We should avoid the same mistakes and  redesign and re-evaluate what already exists, let’s start from what is good.

Tea at five o’clock- 10 minutes to talk about the “after” Covid-19

Tea at five o’clock – informal conversations on our FB, LinkedIn pages and YouTube with entrepreneurs, consultants and people from Non Profit Organizations.

10 minutes a day, at five in the afternoon from April 18th

Why these meetings?

We want to collect ideas and we don’t need to “teach” anything to anybody, we think we can join together our strengths from different perspectives. As you can read in our Mission our goal is to facilitate the interaction between the world of culture and the world of institutions, citizens and companies in order to create awareness on sustainability.

These virtual meetings, very short just for a tea with friends, will begin on April 18 at 17.00. You can follow them in streaming or watch the recording that we will share online.
